Hospitality Ministries Coordinator

Job Description

Goal:

Our goal is to create a worship service where people can experience God's love. The role of the Hospitality Ministries volunteers is to welcome people as God would welcome them and make it easy for them to participate in the worship service.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to manage people

• Sense of responsibility/reliable

• Open and welcoming attitude

• Enjoy interacting with people of all ages

• Positive attitude/optimism

• Works as team member

Commitment Required:

• Work with staff to provide orientation and training for ushers, greeters and elevator operators 2-3 times per year

• 3-4 hours per month

• Commitment of 1 year

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Recruiting volunteers

• Provide orientation & training to ushers, greeter and elevator operators

• Schedule ushers, greeter and elevator operators for Sunday services and other services as needed (ie. Christmas Eve and Good Friday)

• Provide support to ushers, greeters and elevator operators

• Liaison with Church administrator

Training:

Will receive an orientation and training prior to starting the position. The training will include emergency procedures and accessibility.
